shoe boxes full
July 4, 2008
Ive been keeping some type of journal since the fourth grade. Pretty much 90% of everything written up to high school is about my weekly romances at school. Its sort of annoying to read all that. I know I had other interests, but I guess they weren’t as fun to write about in my little diary that had a lock and key. My first two had little locks, then I moved to spiral notebooks that got covered with masking tape and graffiti all over who I loved and whatever else. In high school I started using a sketch book, and in college I kept several different size sketch diarys that started a shift from words to mostly all drawings and cut outs.
Here is my second entry and my first diary, the first one is a little blurry. If you actually attempt to read this, both on restriction means my two best friends Marla and Margo who were identical twins that lived in the neighborhood. They had a strict mom and weren’t allowed to call boys on the phone.
I love to throw things out, but these things get special storage space. Here is a letter I wrote my parents from gymnastics camp. I was a decent gymnasts eventually but at the time of this letter I was pretty much sucked still. I think the camp was suspose to make me better. It didnt work. I feel like I still write at about this same level.
