the time I turned 30 in Yosemite

My welcoming view of Yosemite.   It was also a full moon that night and the enormous giant rock walls were all lit up.    My little power shot can’t quite handle those kind of night shots, so I have it recorded in my memory.   On my birthday morning ‘I was actually the first one up for a change.  This very vocal bird woke me up squawking right over our tent.  I was pretending it was singing happy birthday.

This was just before a bear came strolling through.  Julie was scared on the ground.  I felt brave because I was on the wall where it couldn’t get me.

I have avoided Nutella for a long time, but Julie had some and every night of the trip we made amazing treats with it.  I seemed to be the only person who never tried this genius concoction.    A flour tortilla with nutella spread over it, a little peanut butter spread on with Cheerios on top all rolled up.  I added banana to mine on the second night for variety. Happy Birthday me!  Did I mention that John Hur is the best boyfriend ever?

I found a yellow envelope in my car this morning with a note written on it and a photo inside.   I was next instructed to check the mailbox.

Atlanta Christmas time with Anh.

we stopped by Whitespace Gallery to the Forever Green tree lot.

I was able to finally satisfied my craving for roasted marshmellows.  Im an excellent roaster.

The gallery was offering all the ingredients for the full out S’more, but

I just stuck to my plain roasted marshmellow.  It was Anh’s FIRST time

to roast!!   I made sure to tell her to keep it near the hot embers and not the flame.

Usually if someone catches their marshmellow

on fire almost always they say “I like it burnt.”  Okay so, whatever.

Its my mommy’s birthday

I love  you mommy.  I wanted to scan in the article of you palming two basketballs, but it looks like you have that.  I think it was in the red album.  Happy Birthday!

A Shadow and a Sweet Creature in our House

I love having company and making soft sleeping palettes with soft fluffy blankets.  Its fun having Shadow around and his sweet tender dog Sumo.     He goes to get pretzels and a red soda drink from QT late at night. After Roman left we were crushed, so its nice to have someone we love back.

John and I use our two spare bedrooms as our fun making spaces… one room is his music room and the other is my studio.  I put a full mattress in my studio floor for anh to sleep on this week since she appeared Tuesday in her red rental car.  She gets to sleep in the middle of all the art.  She likes to sneak away and make drawings when know one it watching, so she prefers this place of sleep.
